MTV released Nirvana’s 1993 acoustic concert, “Nirvana: Unplugged In New York” on November 20, 2007 to a remastered DVD, featuring previously cut footage such as Nevermind’s “Something In the Way” and a cover of the Meat Puppets’ “Oh, Me.” I remember watching this concert in second grade and loving it—though I didn’t completely understand the true substance of the music until I got older. Six months after Unplugged In New York, Kurt Cobain committed suicide. The final notes of Cobain’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” still haunts me.(By Jacqueline Hlavenka; Photo Courtesy Amazon.com)
